Friday May 30: Y.A.L.O.T.W Faith Rally 2008

It's only fitting that HSB attends this event. It's going to be great. Last year there was 4,000+ attendants!

Who: Everyone! Even if you're not in YFC, just come down and join hundreds of other youth to have fun and Worship.
What: It's a rally, meaning, get ready to have the time of your life.

Where: Basilian Marian Shrine of Gratitude (behind Carmine Stefano Community Centre)

This Christian event has been called the "Ricoh Rally" in the last 2 years (naturally, because it was @ Ricoh Coliseum)...

This year, the "You Are the Light of the World" Faith Rally makes its return in an outdoor setting! This time, the venue is the Basilian Marian Shrine of Gratitude, a.k.a. the big field behind St. Jude's!!

It boils down to this: OUTDOOR WORSHIP!!

There will be a short talk about Christ's love and Sacred Heart, Holy Mass celebrated in the morning, possibly a couple of guest performers during the Lunch hour, and a dance & dramatic number as well!

We will end with a BANG, as we close everything out with an hour-long WORSHIP!!!

God-willing, the weather will be great and we will worship in His natural creation with (hopefully) thousands of others who also wanna show their thanksgiving to the Lord!

Come one, come all! This is for ANY believer in Christ ("young ones" AND "young once") who wants to have a great time worshipping His name! So it doesn't matter what your group affiliation is (if you even have one). Simply COME AND WORSHIP! WOOHOO!!!

PLEASE TALK TO YOUR SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY TEAM ABOUT ORGANIZING A GROUP TO GO TO THIS RALLY! Ask anyone who went last year for help on how to do this. I know there's a lot of you out there.

It's Been a Blast! HSB Camp Coming Up!

HSB Pastoral Meeting on Sunday, May 18, 2008

Thank you to all those who supported this growing HSB program by attending the events we had. The Pastoral meeting that just happened was great and God truly worked through each and every one of you to make it happen.

Mae-Anne and I hope that you've learned how to lead events with your fellow HSB leaders in your respective schools from all the events we experienced together. Thank you again for your support.

In all honesty, we had hoped that everyone was able to make it to all the events because we love serving with all of you. Though, we cannot force you to come all the time but please just continue to pray for us and the entire HSB program. Let's continue to pray for each other. Starting up HSB in your respective high schools is not going to be easy but that is why we must continue to always have faith, and with that faith, move our hands and feet with the strength of God to make things happen. Brothers and sisters, never give up.

Our HSB camp is coming up! It is extremely important that from this moment on, you evangelize and invite as many people as you can from your schools to come. Please work together in spreading the word and keep on praying and having faith in God's Will and not yours. We are so blessed to have this opportunity to spread this great Love that we all need in life, so please, don't see this as an obligation, but a blessed opportunity to truly make a difference in people's lives.

The camp is scheduled from July 4—6, further details are TBD and the date is not written in stone. However, keep in mind that our camp will be in the summer! Praise God.

First of all, we hope everyone had a great time at this year's Preconference! The competitions and performances were amazing weren't they? We hope you took everything in, from good sportsmanship, to everything you learned from the talk and your experience at Preconference. Remember, this year's Conference (the main event) will be right here in Toronto! And it's National! That means CFC-YFC from all of Canada will be there, and so will you!

This weekend (on Sunday) we will be having an HSB Pastoral meeting. We can't wait to see you all there. Honestly, it's always a pleasure seeing people that go to the HSB events. God is great, and it's always humbling to share His Love with all of you. It's such a blessing to be serving with all of you. See you there!

May 4 2008 HSB General Assembly Fun!

We would like to thank those who came out to help support the HSB program at our first General Assembly. We hope you had a fun time with arts and crafts! You all did a great job and our Precon table will surely represent big time.

We all know that Preconference is coming up, and it's coming fast! We need to represent HSB to the fullest, so for this GA we will prepare our table for precon. The purpose of the table is to evangelize what HSB is all about with the use of cool looking designs, like the ones we did in our good ol' elementary school days for our science fair projects.

Finally! Amidst the busyness we managed to pull through with an event this Sunday! Praise God. It's a Pastoral so YFC only, and it's going to be led by Notre Dame. We miss you guys so much so please come to this event so we can be together as HSB again. Our first official event for everyone guys, let's go!

HSB Update!

Busy busy busy! Unfortunately we didn't have an event this weekend (Mar. 29 or 30) due to events overlapping with others. We hope that this doesn't discourage you from your service in HSB, but have faith in God's plan and not ours. Sometimes things might not work out, that is why prayer is a must so that we can be sure that things happen for a reason.

Let's keep on praying guys and definitely look forward to HSB events coming up the next couple of weeks. Our next event is a GA, and you will be notified of the information as soon as it's available.

This Week and Next

Hey everybody,

We hope you all had an awesome March Break!

This weekend is a free weekend for HSB because it is Holy Week. We want you to spend time with your families and use this week as an opportunity to reflect. If you guys haven't sacrificed anything for lent, now would be a good for the final week. We're praying for all of you and we hope your praying for us and each other and the HSB Program as well.

If you went to the HSB Leader's Training, then you have an idea what will be going on in HSB for the upcoming months. We will be having a GA in the last week of April and this event is open to all your schools and will be hosted by Notre Dame. We will book a venue soon but can't at the moment because we have to make sure our event doesn't overlap with any of the other Programs. The last weekend is March 29/30.

If you guys have any questions or concerns, please email, comment, or call us. You will be getting calls by either us or your Presidents and/or Program Volunteers some time this week.

Hang tight HSB! God is Good!

The Time Has Come For HSB

First of all, we'd like to thank the leaders who attended HSB's first Leader's Training of the year. Praise God for a successful meeting.

We are very excited about this year and the years to come for HSB. At the meeting, we all witnessed the great potential this program has to affect so many in our respective High Schools. As long as we keep God in the centre of everything, we will be okay because God is Good? All the time.

If you couldn't make it to the meeting, any one of the leaders will be glad to update you on the happenings. We will be having many events in the next few months as we prepare for our camp which is scheduled for June. In the meantime, we must evangelize to everyone in our respective high schools, young and old, so that we can have one amazing camp.

Remember with everything you say and do, we must always lift it up to God in prayer so that all that fills our hearts is His Love. With that, we can do anything because with God, anything is possible.
